Welcome Tyler Lashomb, House Hockey Director

Extreme Ice Center is pleased to announce Tyler LaShomb as the new House Hockey Director. A northern transplant, Tyler has been playing hockey since he was 3 years old, but laughs as he says that he has lived in a rink his whole life.

Born and raised in Massena, NY, Tyler played on the travel team for the St. Lawrence Thunder before playing for Oswego College’s D1 ACHA team from 2014-2015. Tyler graduated from Oswego College in 2015 with a degree in Broadcast Management. He returned to the collegiate ice as a Coach for Oswego from 2015-2016.

Tyler’s search for new opportunities and warmer weather brought him to the Charlotte area in January of 2016. Since he found Extreme Ice Center, he has worked on staff, volunteered for Grow the Game initiative, and been the Assistant Coach for the 2016-17 18U AA Jr Checkers.

Coming in to the position of House Hockey Director, Tyler will oversee the 5-Star & Hockey-U Programs, as well as Mites and Metro League. He looks forward to “growing youth hockey in the south,” by recruiting new players, focusing on player retention, creating new opportunities for players, and creating a positive environment for players to make life-long memories.
