Summer Metro is now live on MaxGalaxy! Summer Metro is a 9 Week Season that allows each player to concentrate on their hockey skills and performance. The Metro Season will begin the week of June 11th and finish August 15th.

These Age Levels below will Play on Tuesday's and Thursday's

Each Ice Session will consist of:

(30 Min.) Skills & Drills

(50 Min.) Controlled Scrimmage

6U & 8U Will Combine and Play on Wednesdays and Fridays!

Spring Metro is now live  on Maxgalaxy! Spring Metro is a very short season and will begin the week of April 29th and end by June 7th. 

We are hopeful to have 4 different age divisions for our Metro League.  All leagues will have an evaluation and games from then on along with a championship game.

MINI CHECKERS

Game Days & Practice Days- As soon as you walk in the doors of the rink, you will see a board with players names on it. Whether it be practice day or Game day, please ready the board. This will tell the players where to go when they get on the ice.

Equipment- At the beginning of this season, coaches will be looking at each players equipment to ensure that each player is wearing the appropriate gear. Coaches will specifically observe players’ sticks, helmets, skates, shin pads, and elbow pads. Each child will be required to have a mouth guard before they start each game/practice.

Practices- This year, the XIC staff will focus most of their time on the practices we run for the Metro league. All practices will be formatted using the USA Hockey American Development Model, which is proven to give each player more ice time, puck touches, and game like scenarios. 

SportsEngine- All team rosters, schedules, and event information will be available on our Sports Engine page which everyone will need to register with to have contact with your player’s coach. Once teams are picked you will receive an email from SportSEngine to sign-up for your team.

LiveBarn / Live Scoring – Last season, the Extreme Ice Center purchased a program called LiveBarn which allows live broadcasting during each game. This option is a great opportunity to give your relatives/friends to watch your child when they are not in town. 

Apparel- Each player will receive 2 game jerseys this season, 1 red and 1 white. During game day, teams who are listed as “Home” will wear white and teams listed as “Away” will wear red. Players will be able to choose their jersey numbers during evaluation day, however will not receive a jersey until we have teams chosen and on the first team practice day! Players will not be able to choose numbers until evaluation day. First come, First Serve Basis!

Volunteers- If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Tyler LaShomb @ youthhockey@xicenter.com. We will be looking for scorekeepers during game days, goalie equipment distributer and collector, on-bench helpers, and Jamboree Committee Members!

Arena rules-

1.      Players must get dressed in the locker room or rink area. Please do not get dressed in the lobby!

2.      Please respect the building and others within the building.

3.      Clean up after yourself, whether in the lobby or in the locker room,

4.      No running, horseplay, or stickhandling in the lobby.

5.      Please be aware of others around you when holding your hockey stick.
