Goals for Max Adult Jamboree Recap

By XIC Hockey, 10/29/19, 3:00PM EDT

The game of hockey is truly a great game. Not because of the uniqueness of the sport or the thrills we experience as players and fans. It is because of the community and people that make being a part of this game so great.

This past weekend, our XIC Adult Hockey community came together to support Max Soroka during the Goals for Max Adult Jamboree. For those that may not know, Max Soroka suffered a massive stroke in mid-September that nearly took his life. The Extreme Ice Center along with many others have worked together to help Max and his family in this time of need. The Goals for Max Adult Jamboree showcased how much good we can do when we support one another. The jamboree was a great success with nearly 40 adult league players showing up to play in the name of charity. The best surprise was that Max was able to attend the jamboree and drop the puck to kick off the event.

Thank you to the XIC Adult Hockey community, Viva Chicken, the Charlotte Rush, and to the XIC volunteers/staff for your support and efforts to make the jamboree a special event.
